Although the KV-1 tank here is a FOV model that I customized... the two figures and the house are First Legion.

Awesome custom job on the tank Duke and another excellent trademark scene.

Great photos Duke! The FL figures work well with the KV-1. What is the FOV KV-1 Length, width and height. A must have for the early Ostfront; looks as good as the Figarti IMO.

Thanks Tom.

Thanks. The body frame (excluding gun barrel) is 8.5" long by 4.0" wide. Height is just shy of 3.5" high to the flat top surface of the turret.

Duke the actual KV-1 dimensions are: Length Hull 266" Width 131" Height 107"
A 1/30 scale model would be:--------------------------------8.86"-----------4.36"------------3.56"

The FOV dimensions are correct for height at 1/30 thus the FL figures look correct. The length is a bit undersized at 1/31 scale. The width is strange as it is considerably undersized even for 1/32 scale at 1/32.7 The height and length are close enough to go with true 60mm figures and it looks really good with the FL figures in your excellent photos IMO.

I have found two other pieces of FOV armor that are 1/30 scale as measured. The M26 and the Jagdtiger. I have read on the Forum that the FOV panzer IV is between 1/31 and 1/30 and works well with true 60mm figures. I display my M26 with W. Britains latest US army figures and they are size compatable. The latest WB figures measure between 58 and 63 mm excluding the base. The WB Fallschirmjager display well with the excellent 21st Century Kingtiger which is a measured 1/30.

Thanks Tom.

Katana,

Actually when I said just shy of 3.5" on the height was a quick measurement and not precise. I just measured it trying to get a more precise measure and looks to be more like 3.3" to the flat part of the turret. So with your figures of 266" length and 131" width and 107" height the FOV model would be:

Length at 266"/8.5" = 1/31.3 scale

Width at 131"/4.0" = 1/32.8 scale

Height at 107"/3.3 = 1/32.4 scale

So if you average the 3 scales together (31.3+32.8+32.4)/3 = 32.2 scale

So to me (if your measurements are accurate for the real tank) the FOV model is extremely close as a whole to 1/32 scale.

Thanks for the measurements.

Duke do you have the FOV T34-85? I bet it would look good with the FL Russian figures.
