I was just talking about something original being done on tv or the movies and I just saw a trailer for an 8 part mini series on Starz called Pillars of the Earth set in Medieval England.Check it out www.starz.com Starts July 23rd.

I have the book and IMO it will make a really good movie with the actors listed. I am looking forward to seeing it. Thanks for the heads-up and the link.

The story line follows the life of a stonemason as he builds a cathedral in 12th century England. It quite a good read. My sister has my copy, she's been reading(?) it for a couple of years. As I remember it has more than 900 pages. I have it in a 1st edition hardcover. As I understand it the author did quite a bit of research and it is very accurate from the view of a person attempting to spend an entire life time to complete even a small portion of a huge construction project. It is not a boring read. I could not put it down.
