Who attended, want to know who the heavy hitters are.

The mini symposium was a fantastic night honoring Doug Stork and Bruce Whitman. Doug is a well known collector and has been collecting King and Country for a long time. Bruce who is also a long time collector is President of Flight Safety International and sits on Board of numerous organization, including the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.

The attendees were myself, Louis, Bruce, Gideon, Larry Lo, Tony (also a long time collector and whose last name I unfortunately don't remember) and Doug. As Doug says we started out in Louis' apartment, marveling over his collection and Louis showed us his new planes he had received.

We then went to Classic Toys for a little while where we met up with Bruce and then proceeded to Louis' club in Greenwich Village, where the menu was mostly Italian and outstanding. I think I'm still full from Friday night. After dinner and before dessert we proceeded downstairs to the shooting range where we each had a chance to shoot a clip.

We had extensive discussion about the development of King and Country, LAH, ebay, World War II and anything and everything that interests collectors and history buffs.

Louis presented Bruce with a special wooden airplane and Doug with an early set of four King and Country German pilots. Bruce then graciously gave us each a DVD from the 2003 Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation meetings and presented Louis with a special book.

It was a spectacular evening and one that I won't soon forget.

I would be remiss if I didn't profusely thank Louis for his hospitality. It was a fantastic evening and it wouldn't have come close to being so but for Louis.

Thanks for sharing your event guys and although I probably will not be able to attend your March Symposium, I look forward to hearing every detail from that too. Don't forget the hidden camera to capture any of Andy's unveiling. ;)

First, Thanks to everyone for coming to the mini-symposium. I am glad you all enjoyed it. I had such a great time. For those of you who can't make it to New York, but are closer to Boston, on the evening of July 1st in Boston Matt from Hobby Bunker is hosting a get together at his shop, and Andy will be present showing off some future production sneak peaks, and answering questions about King & Country. I will be there, as will Gideon, who is coming up to Boston with me. I hope some of you other guys can make it. Regards, Louis
