Hello folks! We are very excited to share our latest releases in our Singapore / Malaya Heritage Collection - The Singapore Shophouse model (2 designs), along with 5 new character figures, the Clog Maker, Tailor & Customer, CHIJ Girls Playing 5 Stones, Vegetable Seller and an Indian Lady dressed in traditional saree.

Some of you may recall that these Shophouses have been a long-time in the making for us. But we're really happy with how they turned out. They're probably the most important pieces in our Singapore Heritage Collection so far, as they complete the 1950s Chinatown street scene which we had envisioned from day 1.

These figures pair perfectly with 1/30 figures from other manufacturers like King & Country/JJD/Thomas Gunn. Check out these pictures which feature our shophouses paired with Imperial Japanese Army figurines from Thomas Gunn Miniatures. They work perfectly with any scene in the Malaya conflict!

There are 2 shophouse designs to choose from - yellow and white - each with their own unique details. And we've specially designed for them to be combined seamlessly as a row of buildings. Look out for all the fine details - such as the dragon and flower motifs on the facade panels and the center railings with intricate design work painstakingly recreated from real-life archival photos. And to top it off, we've added battery-operated LED light bulbs and lanterns to make the whole shophouse come alive! As for the new characters, the Clog Maker and Tailor in particular were designed to be displayed inside the shophouse (though they look great as standalones as well). Without further ado, here are the pictures. You can click on our website links to view more.

For those who are less familiar, these figurines capture the lost trades that were commonly seen on the streets of Singapore/Malaya in the 1950s-1970s. The initial releases in our Heritage collection aim to capture a busy shophouse scene in Chinatown. Close your eyes and imagine dirty streets, the smells of food wafting from makeshift food stalls on the street, the shouts of merchants calling out to passerbys, the clamour of the crowds going about their daily business, and the crowded five-foot walkways under the shophouses where these early immigrants plied their trades. These trades were rapidly replaced as Singapore went through a very rapid period of modernization. These figurines were carefully recreated from archival photos for maximum realism. We paid close attention to the tiny details and many of these figurines come with accompanying accessories to best represent the trade. These videos on youtube provides a glimpse of what life was like back in the '50s.

Please post photos of your Singapore special forces soldiers. I'm sure collectors would be interested in those.

These are not my era/thearte of interest but that does not stop me reconising the interesting quality sets you have released, they look excellent.

These buildings are right on for WWII and easily usable for Saigon. I've been to both places and this it's the mark without need of much imagination.

IMO, some of the figures and accessories will work too!

Agree but would not fit in with my European WW2, Napoleonics, Romans or Aztecs.

WOW, these look so good, just like the real thing :)

Its good to see the setup with other makers figures, especially the Japanese invasion in 1942, and I'm sure that they will be very popular with collectors of that period.

I was recently give one of your historical figures, the Satay Man, he's a great looking figure, just like I remember them when I first traveled to the 'Lion City' in the 1970's,

keep up good work,

John
