From the 1980s to the early 2000s, Singapore Army soldiers wore a woodland green camouflage uniform and used the M16 Assault Rifle as their primary weapon. These, along with their other equipment, were later transitioned to a pixelated camouflage uniform, SAR 21 rifle and various other equipment upgrades, in what was dubbed the “3rd Gen Transformation.” Read more about it here.

Our collection of seven 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] Gen Singapore Army soldier figures consists of the various roles that formed a typical section.

The 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] Gen soldiers were the ones who trained on the AMX-13 SM1 Tank. Hence this collection of figures is the most suitable to display alongside our tank model. Do check it out in our earlier post if you haven’t already done so!

Thanks for showing off your figures in The Forum, I only recently heard about them from a friend in Malaysia,
and a fellow collector from here in Australia was visiting S'pore last month and bought one for me, the Dog Handler

I am sure the when this heritage Series is expanded with the Shop house, Trishaw and other figures it will be of great interest to collectors wanting to recreate scenes from The fall of S'pore and using K&C figures.

Thank you so much for your kind words, John. We're very happy and encouraged to have someone all the way in Australia who knows about us and our work. I certainly hope you're enjoying your dog handler figure! That particular piece was memorable for us because we worked very closely with an actual military dog handler to understand the various poses. It was very enlightening for us.

We're working very hard on the Heritage Series this year, and hopefully we can share at least some prototype pics of the shophouse model by mid-year. The other figures that we shared in our blog post are coming along nicely as well.

Thanks again!

Best Regards,
Terra

Terra, thanks for the reply,

Yes, I'll be looking forward to seeing more of your figures as they are released.

Over the past 40 years I have made many trip to 'The Lion City' and these heritage figures bring back fond memories of those days in the 1970's wen, as a young traveller, I enjoyed the sights, smells and tastes of this multi-cultural nation.
I still enjoy holidays there and are looking forward to viewing the figures on display when I'm next there. I'm only 5 hours away (flight) which is about the same time and distance as the other side of this country, seeing I live in Perth.

John, that's really great to hear! I'm sure you've seen the many changes in Singapore since the 70s, given the ever-changing landscape!

Feel free to let us know if we can be of service the next time you visit!
