Hello all, new to the forum, hope this is the right place for this post! My Grandparents owned a toy shop for many years which has since closed. They have had a large number of Limited Edition Britains sets in storage ever since, and they are now looking to sell. They have given me a small sample of this collection to test out online interest. They are all in their original packaging and in mint condition. See attached some photos of the sets, seems I can only upload 5 in this post, let me know if you want to see the other parts of the sets / packaging. Here are their descriptions:

1) The Crimean War - Charge of the Light Brigade (1997) Box No. 750 of 2500. Featuring 8th Hussars, 11th Hussars, 4th Light Dragoons, 13th Light Dragoons, 17th Lancers, Russian Artillery & Infantry with Russian Field Gun.

2) The Pipes & Drums of the 1st Battalion The Black Watch (1995) Box No. 1712 of 2500. Featuring Drum Major, Pipe Major, 5 Pipers, Bass Drummer, 2 Tenor Drummers and 3 Side drummers.

3) Lawrence and the Arab Revolt - 1917 (1998) Box No. 1467 of 2000. Featuring 'Lawrence of Arabia' on Camel, Ashraf Irregular with slave, Turkish Officer with Pistol and Sword, and Five Turkish Privates

4) 13th Hussars & The Royal Fusiliers William Britain Centenary Collection (1993)

As I said, these are only a small selection of a much larger collection. Let me know if you'd be interested in buying any of the sets listed above or the collection in general. If there are any particular sets you are looking for, let me know and I'll see if we can find it for you! We are based in Scotland and happy to ship to you. Also, if you know of any other forums where it might be worth posting this, please let me know.

Hi there,

This is probably one of the best sites to list these sets but I would recommend you also contact an auction house in the U.K. that specializes in these types of collections. I will post the information I have in my next post. I have to dig out the phone numbers etc so you can talk to the correct people.

Dave

Hi there here is the info I mentioned before. You should contact James Opie at C and T Auctioneers. They will get you top price. The phone I have is 01233 510050. Or email at: enquiries@candtauctions.co.uk

I believe Mr Opie will get you better prices than other houses in the U.K. but you will need to talk to him. Good Luck
Dave
