Don't be afraid to mix and match K&C series.
Here is a Vietnam figure with an IDF one. Some minor color differences and maybe not completely accurate, but in a diorama, I dare say, you'd never notice!
A real gentle simple repaint of parts would take care of anything wrong too

Although I’m not a stickler on historical detail, I just don’t see how the two would work together.
