Hi eveyone.

There is a mixed collection of Britains and King and Country WWII items up for sale on the Toysoldierchat.com site I have looked at a lot of the sets listed and will say he has some very nice ones and even though he is trying to move the entire collection at once he may well be open to high bid on portions. He has them listed under the King and Country site on the other forum. Check it out if you are a WWII collector.

Good Luck and Good Hunting!

Hi Guys it appears that this collection was sold and for a very low price (I think 3K or less). I hope the parties involved are happy with the transaction. I know it certainly generated a lot of discussion and arguement about prices and whether or not someone was taking advantage of anothers grief or ignorence. Time will tell...

There should have been more bidding and less chatting. I'm sure the seller had a price in mind and someone reached it. I guess the buyer knows that money talks.

I think he got taken and fleeced! He certainly didn't get anywhere close to what the collection was worth. He should have put them up on ebay and watched the fireworks!

From our point of view, yes he did. From his point of view, he has $3000 in his pocket for toy soldier he could care less for which he didn't pay for so its 100% profit.

True but he still got rooked and as much as I like to get a deal he got less then half of what was in the whole collection. Oh well I guess I need to do an excell spread sheet for my collection and list the prices on it so my heirs dont get taken to the cleaners too.

Don't feel bad about that collection, there is something funny going on at that other Forum.
Remember thats where the WS69-#501 sold for some outrageous sum. The same person who referrs to himself in the 1st person ****says alledgely bought a picture viewed over the internet (from his accomplice) christmas week for $80,000. So I would take anything viewed by members of this little "Click" with a serious ration of Salt.
There are some very nice, and creative folks at the other forum, also a real group of Nuts!

I would have to agree with your assessment of the knuckleheads over there.

Dave:rolleyes:
