I gave this one a try thinking what's not to like with gangsters and cast members from Walking Dead? Unfortunately, it's awful even with a few good actors. And there are so many commercials that's it's impossible to watch. A real disappointment.

I was disappointed in it as well. I love 1940's-50's era cop noir stuff but this just didn't cut it. Liked the sets, cars, etc., but it just didn't have the soul I expected. -- Al

My cousin loves mob shows but she didn't like this one.

It might be time to watch "Chinatown" and give this series a rest.

if you like mobster type movies try "Dinner Rush"..different but still good..Danny Aiello is in it

Thought the second show was better than the first one. Think I'll stick around for part 3. I think Burns as Siegal and Knepper as Rothman are the standouts. -- Al

They do have some good character actors but the writing is awful, the music bad, and the commericials unbearable. If I remember to DVR it so that I can FF through the endless ads, I might stick with it.

Quite agree about the commercials (about every 5 minutes), really chopped up the show. The lack of period music really puzzled me. It would have done a lot for the mood and believability had the producers used music like LA Confidential did. I did like the wrap-up and was highly impressed with the show's version of what happened to Siegel. It was a suitably gruesome end. I would watch if they make further episodes as it is an interesting period of time. Show ended just in time as I don't think Joe could have taken another beating. He got hit more times than the Italian Stallion.:rolleyes2: -- Al
