Caught the last hour of part one and all part two. I thought it was very well done.
 
Thanks for reminding me. I had seen the promo and the production looked really well done. I will have to check it out.
 
Enjoyed this new version very much more than the classic Peck version. Hurt walks away with the film. -- Al
 
This one is a couple notches above your standard TV fare. The Stubb and Queequeg actors were dead on. Hurt was good as Ahab. Some re-working of the story that cuts both ways. When all is said and done I still prefer the fire and brimstone Gregory Peck version of Ahab. The thing I remember most about that movie was the Orson Welles sermon. They don't make them like that anymore.

I understand that visitors to the chapel still come to see that pulpit that was installed for the movie as if it was originally there.
