Monkee Mike Nesmith RIP (1 Viewer)

Not a fan per se of the show but I always associate it with being a kid. Like that crazy P.R. Pufnstuf show. Far out stuff. Occasionally an old Monkees song will come on the radio and it is better without the visual element.
 
I use to watch these guys. Hard to believe it was so long ago. R.I.P. Mike.

Nesmith was more than just a Monkee. Among other achievements, he helped discover Linda Ronstadt and he wrote and gave her the song “Different Drum,” which was a big hit for her. After the Monkees he formed the First National Band, which presaged the country rock movement.
