Monthly Stress Disorder - My "Monthly Friend" (1 Viewer)

I don’t know how many of you go through this every month, but ever since I began collecting and began paying attention to the new release schedules (the first week or so of each month for about the last year or two), I get extremely stressed as the current month changes to the new. The announcements are not out yet and I want to see want is waiting to take my money (given willingly by-the-way).

This is a list of the symptoms that my "monthly friend" exhibits (and yeah, I did borrowed this term from female friends and it is cliché, but it works for me never-the-less; and you are going to have to read it anyway so there; stressed aren’t I?):

1) Nothing on TV - Nothing but repeats on the Military, Science, History, History International, Discovery/Times, TLC, National Geographic, BBCA, HBO, and all the other movie channels (and I get them all). So I am now watching America’s Ballroom Challenge on PBS. Yes I admitted it; I am watching competition ballroom dancing. It is really fantastic to watch. I wish I were able to dance like these folks do.

2) No monthly update posting, other than a travel itinerary, from Andy.

3) Hints, but nothing firm from NMA. Same darn response; wait.

4) Very vague responses from Anna at HB over the last few weeks on the forum.

5) Not a single manufacturer’s web site has anything new on it of any consequence.

6) A history with the manufacturer’s, especially K&C, with monthly updates some time in the first week or so of the new month. And now it’s a habit. Repeat something 14 times and it’s formed in the habit section of human behavior.

7) I keep looking longingly at my collection, imagining the possibilities and driving myself absolutely crazy with the options that could be released.

8) Short tempered at work, unable to sit still, can’t eat (well maybe that one’s not real), can’t pay attention to any conversation, can’t read anything of substance, and the list goes on.;) :) :)

Michael,

Have you tried drinking copious quantities of coffee?

It probably won't help your disorder, but it will give you another excuse for eratic behaviour.

Works for me. Not that I needed the excuse, there are plenty of other reasons I have for my eratic behaviour, but....:D

Michael,we have so many of the same symptoms!Don't tell my British friends but i love strictly come dancing (the british version of your show).Actually i have a good excuse in that one of the dancers 'Ola' is stunning and one of the sexiest women i've laid eyes on!.

I am always scouring every source for news.

I too am disapointed in news from NMA, after such a good start.

I think Ana from HB is very helpful indeed but would like more new stuff on their website.

I collect flyers/leaflets and print of pics from treefrog

You are not alone my friend, and i think there is many of us out there

COFFEE!!!! I don’t think so  I think I should start with two or three vodka gimlets and move to five or six tequila shots rapidly followed by a nice martini :) After passing out  , I should have no more symptoms or liver function or brain wave patterns. Yeah, that’s the ticket. Booze. The magic, the cure for what ails the human condition. After all over indulgence in alcohol has never hurt the human race, right:confused: :)

Mmmmmmmmm...... yeah, on reflection, I like your plan better. My liver went on to ebay last week anyway and as for the brain wave patterns, well, the mush is still there, but any sensible activity that once eminated from it has long since packed up it's bags and left home. :)

It seems that Andy heard my call for help and posted his monthly dispatches on time. My symtoms seem to have disapated somewhat. But, there's always next time.....
