Well it looks like Jenkin's has so more Indians on the way too. I'm trying to get caught up before the new stuff is out. I only have two more sets to go. I had to backtrack and pick up multiples of BM-02 since I couldn't find any Bm-01 for retail price. Now at least I can have a nice firing line:)

Were these Tribes the Mahawks? I presume the Tribes back east were different to those in the West like the Sioux and Apache and Cheyane

Damian,

The Indians that allied with the French were part of the Algonquian Native Americans group. The tribes did include Mohicans and many others such as Hurons, Ottawas, Delaware, etc. Watch the movie "The Last of the Mohicans" to get a good flavor for the time. It is a great movie.

I wonder if Jenkins had a particular tribe in mind when he designed his figures? I think they are just generic woodland Indians since so many different tribes fought in the battles. I agree with Ron, they are nice!

Yeah I think it would be great to individualize the Indians into distinct tribes. Although they had similar characteristics it would be great to see a Mahican set or Huron specific. I hope he does some Indian life poses not necessarily battle ones.

With the 400th Anniversary of the Jamestown settlement coming up there are any number of new books on the relationship of Indians and early european settlers being released. So keep an eye out at the bookstores if this subject is of interest.
