Dear All,
A few more repaints of stuff that took my fancy - unfortunately the front view of the Zulu 24th foot didn't come out, but hopefully you'll get the flavour of the changes from a back view!
And just to prove that no manufacturer is sacred I've had a go at a FL Bavarian Officer. The sculpting and paint job is in a different league, but the figure was shiny as supplied (a common fault from all manufacturers of so called Matt figures). The face was superb,so I didn't touch that, but I added a couple of layers of shading to jacket and trousers, and completely redid the metallics, which were very basic.
I should add that FL 's painting standard has improved dramatically since the Bavarians - the main problem is that they are too fine to Wargame with - plumes are a particular problem - hence my preference of Britains, where you can bash them about and they still come up smiling!
Ian
