I hope K&C is going to put out some more Saracens...I sure could use some...especially foot soldiers and casualties (Crusaders too)...I have not counted figures...but it seems like I need more Saracens to keep up with the Crusaders...

I hope so too, Michael. We just got three new French Crusaders and there are several more Crusaders in the works, including three more mounted ones, I think. But...I'm not seeing any hint of more Saracens on the horizon. Hey, we can't have the enemy get too seriously outnumbered. Maybe we'll get a nice surprise soon. A new mountedc Saracen would be especially welcome for me.

Won't FL's work as their Crusades line is larger than their WWII line.

they might for George...but I'm not collecting them...

George...I really loved the 4 camel mounted Saracens...and wouldn't mind some more horse mounted...but I sure would like some Saracen foot soldiers to put on my walls...and some casualties on both sides would be welcomed too...

FL Crusaders are slightly larger than K&C.

FL's Muslims are Mamluks (led by Sultan Al-Ashraf Khalil during the siege of Acre in 1291) and K&C's Muslims are Saracens (led by Saladin). K&C's focus is on the Third Crusade (1187–1192). The Siege of Acre in 1291 happened after the 9th (and last) Crusade (1271-72). They are almost a 100 years apart.

I have at least one of all of the K&C Saracens and so far six of the FL Mamluks. The Mamluks, in general, do look a slight bit different from the K&C Saracens, but I think they tie in together quite well. As for size, the Mamluks I have are not larger than my K&C Saracens. Height is identical. Feet and hands are essentially identical in size. The heads of the K&G figures in some cases are a tiny bit "stockier" than the FL Mamluks.

I've added five FL figures to my walls and one on the ground.

Agreed, more Saracens to man the walls would be very welcome. Casualties always add realism to a dio.

Have not compared the Muslims. Have compared the Christians eg. the archers and a few knights - and the FL Crusaders are slightly bigger in general. Visually, the difference between the Crusades range of both manufacturers is probably less marked than Napoleonics. As usual, displaying the products of different manufacturers together is a matter of personal preferences.
