What's happening to me? I think I am a robot. Coffee in hand, I trudge to computer and click on my addiction to Treefrog Forum. I think it is insane at times. Forget world news, chores, feeding the pets-- Treefrog comes first. What new K&C tidbit is on there today? Something I have to get? Go directly to shoping cart. Will I miss some neat photo's and threads?
Wife is shouting from upstairs "GET OFF TREEFROG" YOU DON'T NEED NOTHING! Famous last line.
Shannon needs to schedule a therapy session for Chicago Show weekend for the hopeless souls. Well I don't think I will change at this stage of my life. Hey! what's that I hear? A delivery of a limited edition K&C set-- only 10 made. Will it ever end? Leadmen

Ah the sounds of sweet madness. You are not alone. Remember that, you are not alone.

I find that I have to get on-line at my first opportunity when I have a break at work. And then, I keep checking back every few hours or so during the day just to make sure that I don't miss that limited release information about those 10 sets. It's crazy; I tell you it's crazy; and I love this stuff.:)

This is exactly what happens to me, especially my wife telling me the morning is not the time for this.

My wife curses the time I spend "playing on the Treefrog forum". I too check the forum first thing in the morning and continue to do so throughout the day. But I don't spend nearly as much time on the forum as Brad. Either his wife or his boss is going to kill him!

Or both!

One of these days I,m going to keep track of how many times in one day that I check this forum, I would guess at least 10, that,s sick.

I've been reading your guys posts and this is my first one . If my wife would actually read some of these, she'd see I'm not the only one obsessed with this stuff.

Welcome Sage742, you are among friends and have found sanctuary from the world of those who do not collect toy soldiers (they often refer to themselves as the "sane" or more often they call themselves wife, son, daughter, or friend).

This forum is a place where we can find the solace and comfort for our small and disparate population of what I would term as “normal” people.

I am sure that you will read, learn, become a better collector, and perhaps even share your thoughts and opinions with all of us as we all go on with our life’s adventure. We have collectors and manufacturers, suppliers and customers, old and young, and even women (although not very many). This forum has helped me to be a better consumer and a better collector. I believe it will do the same for you.

In other words: Welcome to the mad house, the nuts are waiting for you to join them (us).:p

Michael:)

Sage,

I would like to echo the comments made by Micheal (Sceic2). This forum is an amazing place for collectors to interact with other toy soldier collectors. It is a place in which our knowledge can grow, our insights can improve, and our affection for our hobby can expand. Not the least of the benefits are the warm friendships that become established with other collectors around the globe. It also helps if you have a sense of humor! ;)

Let me add my welcome to those of Michael and Louis. I think you will really enjoy participating in this fine, and sometimes funny, forum!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat
