I had made this figure some time ago. It was a Historex conversion. Lasalle was not a tall man and I had converted the figure as such. However, the converted legs were too short and I then resized them. I added more details to the basic Historex figure such as redoing all the lacing, buttons and the fur edging on the pelisse. The bicorne details were also enhanced. For the horse tiger shabraque, I remodeled the scalloping edges. I have now started to paint the figure.

I reshaped the trousers so that the figure would seat lower in the saddle. The arms were reattached and repaired with putty.

The horse was cleaned up for repainting. The saddle was further improved and I continued to reshape the trousers.

Following the reshaping of the legs, the figure sits a little lower in the saddle.

The tiger shabraque was originally converted from a Historex Murat kit. The legs were cut off and the shabraque was reshaped. A red scalloping edging was built up from putty. The cantle was remade from putty shaped over a short length of wire.

The shabraque was completed. I decided to rework the horse, trying to create more movement in the beast. The head and neck was redone, followed by the mane. The right leg was substituted.

After adding an undercoat of brown, the horse was further sanded down.

Found the figure parts. Horse has shabraque fully added. Decided to remove the sculpted lacing. Horse is missing a back foot. LaSalle is being painted.

Sculpted some embroidery on LaSalle jacket. Changed the horse head and repaired the right rear foot.
