Hey do we know if we are going to see any JJD Mounted Figures soon?

Yes. Most likely Brit cavalry. I'm guessing this year.

Since there was no real Cavalry involved at either Monongahela or Quebec it would seem that they would be out of place in either JJD series. However, Braddock on horseback or Washington would work as would the Death of Montcalm at Quebec.

A mounted figure(s) is in the works, but I am not at liberty to say what it is as I am sworn to secrecy by John himself..............

It would be nice to have a Braddock Figures being shot off his horse - with JJ look to figures - I think it would be a stunning piece. :D

It could very well be a mounted Braddock although the JJ website has listed it as the "Death of Braddock" which occurred several days after being shot off his horse. That may be spliting historical hairs though. Interestingly, I have also seen it referred to as the "Wounding of Braddock" which would make it more likely to be a mounted set. Hey, I finally reached a 1000 posts - seems like a lot more!

Hi Combat,

Congratulations on your promotion! You have to be a seriously dedicated "Treefrogger" to achieve that rank! I have always enjoyed and learned from your posts and I am glad you made it to the 1,000 posts group! I look forward to reading more comments from you in the future.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

My congratulations too.

Like Pat, I enjoy and learn from your posts.

You are the one (by your comments) who made me bought the three versions of the Field Kitchen from HB. As you are able to see, I did not put them on sale on eBay :) (btw, the Jenkins sets are doubles :))

Pierre.

Combat

I agree - the set should be the wounding of Braddock !

JJ figure on the a horse - that is going to be interesting - especially the way the horse will look with his style ! - dont you think ? :D

Congratulations on 1000 posts - although I dont personally believe every post has to be a serious docu-drama like some people - you are great to talk with and I enjoy sharing our hobby together.

Ron
