Mounted French horse artillery? Those Timpo British Hussars again. Quite versatile actually. When I have to buy the whole set to get the Wellington figure to use as Saxon cavalry I gotta find some role for the other guys to play. The life guard guy gets his flowing plume clipped and becomes a Russian cuirassier or swap the head for a Blucher head and it is another unit of Saxon heavy cavalry. Haven't found a use for the lancer yet, but I've got a bunch waiting to go when I do.
Horses aren't done but I have to figure out how to attach the limbers and caissons first.

Nice job! I did a whole bunch of french horse artillery conversions years back and one of the things I had in mind to do was add some mounted horse artillery troopers in action also but I got side tracked and never got back to the project. I did a whole battery of conversions and even did manage to do a few mounted guys but I had planed to use the Italeri mounted Hussars set with heads from there horse artillery set and do a unit on the run and also convert the horses from the cassion wagon carrying the cannon to horses in full action running to or from the action.
If you can still get your hands on some of the italeri sets they are great for conversions!

Thanks Dave! I,ve been taking a bit of a break from the hobby right now but I still check in once in awhile. I,ll get back at it at some point, maybe after the fishing season ends I,ll get the conversion and painting bug again?
