NO NO NO, you guys are missing the point. The knight is supposed to stay on the base.
Follow these simple directions and you will be amazed:

guaranteed
1.) Drill a hole through the figure's base plate, oh say about 1 and 1/2 inches in diameter.
2.) Drill the same size hole through and through the base.
3.) Using a stainless steel rod sized to fit through the hole in the figures base plate and the base, fit the rod through both holes.
4.) Weld two stainless steel plates about 4 inches square on both ends of the rod, thereby retaining the figures base plate and the base together.
5.) Be sure to use liquid-steel between the figure's base plate and the soon to be welded steel plate on top of it.
6.) Secure both stainless steel plates, now welded in place, with four heavy-duty industrial sized C-clamps to fit.
7.) Then weld or destroy the threads on the C-clamps so that the tension can not be released.
That should hold it. Yeah, that's the ticket.
Now for a dose of reality, I would not attach them. I would just sit them on it and not cause permanent harm to either the figure or the base. But that's just my choice if I were to own them.
