While browsing the list of threads in any given forum, I've noticed that I can mouseover or hover my cursor over the title of some threads, and see a callout cloud that shows me the first couple lines or so of the initial post. But if I mouseover other threads, there's no callout, and I have to drill down into the thread to see the contents. I was wondering if this is configurable, so I checked my own settings, but I didn't see anything that looked like a control to enable or disable that functionality. I'm curious to know what drives that functionality.

Thanks in advance, prost!

Brad,

I've found the only ones where no text preview shows up are those where there are photos first, and therefore no initial text to preview. Could that be it?

I'm not sure, Simon.

Here's the URL for the thread, "Early morning in London, 1901":

http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?43093-Early-morning-in-London-1901

No text, just a photo, and sure enough, in the list, there's no mouseover text. The icon in the list is also colored differently.

Here's the URL for a thread in the K&C thread:

http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?41078-K-amp-C-photographs

That one has mouseover text, and its icon is colored differently from the other thread's.

I'll look some more and see if I can find the cause.

Prost!
Brad
