heads-up on a new UK Seller offering a number of Mulberry Miniatures Napoleonic Cavalry sets ,two with little more than a day left.Of particular interest a 10 man mounted set modeled after Lady Butler's famous painting of The Scots Greys charge at Waterloo-as yet unbid with a start of 49.99 Pounds  Seller id : purpleprincess85-2008,item id #180272129547.o.

Be carefull. Several of us on this forum have been burned on Mulberry troops. No delivery, or sends partial claiming the rest are right behind. You wait 30 days and your time to complain to paypal has expired, and you never get the rest.
This appears to be a different seller, But the one I refer to has changed ebay handles several times, had wife shill bidding, selling under her ebay handle and bidding on troops he had listed. Both dissappeared for a while. Now theres Mulberry under a new seller with little feedback.Images appear to be the same.
Just be carefull.

So it's not an issue with Mulberry per se, but rather, with this particular eBay seller, correct?

Actually, are Mulberry still being made?

Prost!

I believe I dealt with the man that did the Mulberry figs.
If these are from another customer selling off troops i do not know.
Ask Fishhead. He'll confirm .
Mulberry were on dealer sites for a while, but they all dropped the line.
The owner did have health issues for a while or so i was told.
Homemade gravity poured lead figs, unprimered, painted okay.

I purchased 36 figs. Came in a huge box that contained 1 box of 6 figures. Not 36. The rest are right behind dont worry. Never got them, paypal time expired, Seller had Royal mail reciept showing something sent to me.SOL.
Same sort of thing happened to Fish and who knows who else.
They are okay figs, but not worth the risk at all.

my 2 cents.

Thanks for the additional info, Fubar! I'd only seen the figures in auctions online. Some look pretty good, but others looked a little out of proportion. I've seen some dealers putting them up for auction as "rare" and "out of production". But the subjects are covered by other figuremakers, so I never thought it worth the effort.

Prost!

I'm relatively certain Mulberry are OOP.I am unable to act as guarantor for ANY eBay listing, but for those sufficiently interested to pursue this set allow me to point out that the Seller claims to be a collector and provides references that are easily checked.:confused:o.P.S.(Sorry to learn of your troubles Fubar-that's a horrific tale.)

The owner of Mulberry actually passed away about 4 or 5 years ago.
I collected their ECW range and their figures while more "toy soldier style" did have a cerain panache.

I also have a large collection of their Napoleonic cavalry including Prussians and Saxons from the Jena campaign.

If you are looking for a different syle, even whimsicle they are worthwhile.

I think the best UK maker of Napoleonics is Alexander Toy Soldiers (ATS).
Mulberry really can't be mixed with other makers.

The owner is my friend..He almost passed away 5-6 years ago..He survived serious cancer and at that time, lost his small factory to major flooding in England. For a number of years, he had a decent dealer network, but all went away at the loss of his business...He has tried to pick up the pieces of his life, as a one man show. This has caused him serious order vs time to deliver issues..Regardless of some members experiences, his ebay ratings were decent. I have over a 100 of his figures and I like them alot. He has been sick at times ,for a number of months now, and has cut back on his producing...I do not offer excuses for his shortcomimgs, ( he owes me some 10 sets and I am his friend ). I also will not defend some his issues with others. No matter what is said here, he will always be my friend..........He is still young and has much to learn about business, but I wanted to clear up some of the details offered about this company...Michael

Maddicus, You and I have already discussed this so no sense in flogging a dead mule. I forgave the Mulberry situation a long time ago.Cutting people miles of slack all the time. What do i get for my trouble?Surrounded by slackers ! LOL None here on the forum, dont mean that.
Just a heads up. Didnt mean to start a battle.
