I really liked this range when it began but I think the range has lost its appeal, Why?

The quality is not 'museum' and when the BW Napoleonic museum range is compared with the 'normal' napoleonic range there is no or very little difference.

The range has turned into a band instead of different regiments through the range?

In the Museum Black Watch band there are only two different faces for the whole range of the band, why can they have different faces, they have done this through the characters for the Zulu range and the Zulu figures are actually cheaper

For those in the UK the WW2 and the Gulf War BW figures look like Ian Hislop from Have I Got News For You.

Pity this has happened it was a good range.

Well here is my take on it.

I don't think WB intended to be a better quality, more to distinguish it from the glossies as a matte collectible.

Only for this recent release, I am sure it will move onto other things

I would think for cost as the poses are just the same with arm changes, remeber it probably costs more to paint the kilts than the zulu figures and all of the figures from the AZW are completely different sculpts.

Not in the UK so have no idea what you are talking about

All may not be lost, alot of the ranges are in their infancy remember 1st have only been at it 5 years and have a massed a good deal of great figures under their belt. Perhaps just more time is needed.

The Museum Collection is not meant to compete with WB's Connoisseur range. It's name relates to 3 factors: By covering the history of a particular regiment or unit in single figures it creates an "historical museum" of that unit for the collector. The boxes they come in are called Museum boxes that have a clear front (like museum display cases) so that buyers can see what they are getting. The boxes are meant to be displayed in stores and museums. For example, the Yale Center for British Art carrues WB figures in their gift shop.
The Museum Collection has now branched into a history of the USMC. The series will cover from 1775 to the present.

The one addition I would like to see added to the Black Watch is a WWI example like the one below. I know there were BW figures in the WB WWI line but I would like to see a separate one like this. The WWI figures by WB are slightly smaller in size than the Museum figures.
