Back in 2003, I came very close to partnering with BRENARD MOLD to launch a new line of 1:32 toy soldiers.
My Uncle was a very accomplished toy & miniature sculpture who was going to do the masters but would be tied up for about 5 months.
Around that time I went to a big toy soldier show in Detroit where I saw the "MASTER" Ken Olsen sculpting figures in a live demonstration.
I watched, learned and was inspired.
I thought to myself, if I did the sculpts myself, I could save a lot of money, so I bought the supplies and started immediately!
My project was to do GERMAN INF. in Winter White Camo. & SIBERIAN Winter Assault Troops
I fearlessly dove in and did about one sculpt every day and a half.
After about 2 weeks I ran out of steam and was a little discouraged knowing my Uncle could do 100 times better, so I threw my ugly children into a box.
NOW, 14 years later, I look at them and you know what, they're are not half bad for only 2 weeks work!
I can really see the improvement and progression, I should have kept with it!

CHECK OUT THE PHOTOS, you decide?

Imagine if I would have kept with it all these years?!
SO, I have decided that I am going to do a new one this week, perhaps I'll show some improvement?

Thanks for the shortcut idea, but unfortunately you can't use these products in the making of master prototypes mold.
They're for private use only.
When your figures get produced you can get sued for copyright infringement.
The point was to practice and get better.

Steve?
You may have misunderstood?

If I was making a production prototype, I could be sued if I used body parts from someone else's product.

GERMANS? There are MANY different WWII German uniforms.
I was doing Germans in WINTER SNOW SUITS.
NO, it's barley been touched upon.

whats wrong plastic private you don't recognize your own quote? give me a call we will talk all about it. you got my number.

Not bad at all Christian, your poses are natural and realistic, your proportions look good also, we both have probably seen some figures with amazing detail but the proportions are way out of wack or the poses are not natural enough which can really detract from the overall look of a figure with some detailing you will have some wonderful figures ! What type of modelling materials are they made of ?

Mark

Thank you Mark, I use two part epoxy with rubbing alcohol as the solvent.
My sculpts remind me of a RODAN sculpture.
I'll start up again in the next few weeks.
