Here are some pictures of the second game I ran. This one represented the B.O.M. The object was to get at least one of the artillery pieces off the other side of the board. They moved 18 inches each turn, so they acted as a turn counter as well. The game took an hour and a half to play. To stop the artillery, you had to kill off the crew. In the second game one layer put his troops in front of the Indians and French to absorb hits away from the artillery crew. It worked for a bit, but since the artillery keeps moving, it soon left him behind and again the crew was exposed.

I'm sorry for the dark pictures, it was not a well lit room and the flash washed out the detail. Played on a 15 x 6 foot table. I'd like to do this game again now, with all the stuff that has come out since then it would be more interesting I think. Everyone had fun though.

History was not changed with the outcome of the game, the British lost both times, though the first game was a very close call. Basically down to the last die roll.

That looks like a nice set up Mathew...with the new pieces..."Return To Monongahela"...that should make the game a little longer...

Thanks Micheal,

I am hopping so. I have a lot more French and Indians as well as the new British. so we'll see. We have been doing Indian Farm raids of late and they have been fun.

Sounds like your getting a lot of enjoyment from your collection.

Hi Mark,

Yes I do get a lot of enjoyment form the collection. In fact I have not taken out the 28mm stuff in a very long time. The only thing that is killing me these days is finding the time, and being able to get a few friends over who are also on my schedule.

But that's life. :)

Thanks Walt,

I developed my own set of skirmish rules - they are designed for a fast play game at conventions, but also work well for skirmish actions where each player has about 10 to 12 figures. Because the muskets were not accurate and things get a bit confused during a skirmish fight, and because folks like to play as long as they can - the hits on a unit are rolled randomly. You could have say 4 of the 5 hits all land on the same figure.

As I said in the first post, I am happy to send out a copy of my rules - 1 page pdf file. Just let me know.
