I use to be really into Britains back when I thought they were best (2002-2004)
I have all the American Civil War sets and Im just wondering what they are worth in todays market, though I would never sell them.
The ones that I would assume would be most valuable and in demond would be The Lone Star with its add on set
Clear the way with its add on set.
Along with the Charging Iron Brigade and the 2 piece capturing the colors (gettysburg railroad cut)
Also The Angel of Marye's Heights.
Im just wondering how much they are worth

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.I had the 20th Maine & 15th Alabama sets which sold I think at $140+ for each set and now I have seen them at the $425+ range.

I have the Father Corby's set..bought in mint condition for 15£, now what is its value?

Is there a website or book that has values in it?
(I know a published book would be of limited use because of the length of time that passes between putting it together and getting it in to buyer's hands.)
Or is frequently checking Ebay to see what prices have recently been about the only way to do it? (Much as I dislike Ebay . . . )

If you go to www.toysoldierco.com you can see some of these sets and what this company is selling these for.The Father Corby set is going for $145.Go to Britains retired metal on this site and you will see.Lone Star is going $325.

Im Not sure about there prices  i know they had the Hougoumont set the one that came with the 5 figs.
and trying to sell it at $750 ......the same set pops up on Ebay now and then at about $150.

I agree that their prices are high. Some of those sets have been on the site quite a while.I have seen some of the sets that were in the $140 range when they came out going for over $400 on ebay.

The prices demanded on toysoldierco are a joke.
Sets like "Lone Star" or "Clear the Way", if they sell good they fetch up to $150.00 on ebay. One seller had the "Lone Star", mint in box, up for a "buy it now" option of $115.00 for weeks and weeks, again and again and it did not sell.
Sets like the "Hougoumont" might go up to $200.00
The best seller of the Britains/Ertl period is definetely the "Crossing the Delaware" Set from the AWI series, the main set with the two add-ons.
Next to that I would put the Delhi Durbar series.
The various ACW, AWI, WWII sets of either 2 or 3 pieces are easily available for around $10.00 per figure count, if you are patient enough and keep checking the offerings.

Could not agree more....."Crossing the Delaware" is a unique set and should fetch a good price.
I just got some mint 1998 Britain's Confederate's on Ebay for $20(AU) each :D.
It does not matter if its a House/Car/or ToySoldier its only worth what someone else is willing to pay .
