Not only am I new to the hobby but I'm also a slow painter. Here is my collection to date of 1/32 scale figures that I've painted. I've also painted about 300 1/72 scale figs but they are busy on campaign at present. I hope you enjoy it.

Slow and steady wins the race Captain and you have certainly won with these. They are great.

Nice painting and collection of figures Captain. Leadmen

You have done well :) There shouldn't be a need to rush painting it's meant to be a relaxing hobby and enjoyable.

Jeff

Thank you gentlemen. Your comments are much appreciated. I meant to list what the figures are but forgot to when posting the picture. Y'all probably already know anyway but here it is just the same;
Top row: Italeri 95th Regiment, Italeri French Hussar, Conte GIs, Conte Germans,
Mid. Row: Conte Confederates, Conte metal R.E. Lee, 2 Imex 6-pdr Artillery pcs.(Federal but painted otherwise) with crews and the three figs in wheel hats are Conte Alamo Figs.
Bottom row: two Conte Iron brigade, three federal Conte metal wounded, one Conte Iron Brigade, Imex 10-pdr Parrott rifle with crew ( federal again), two TSSD wounded artillerymen, Conte Alamo surgeons and wounded.
All the figures are plastic unless otherwise noted. The shelf they're sitting on was a nasty old plastic plant stand my wife was throwing away. I fixed it up and painted it and it works just fine for the collection.

Good work Captain. I also paint and I'm really slow. I even have a plastic cover over my figures being painted to keep the dust off while I'm away from them.:)

Nicely done, Captain! You have a nice style, your figures look as good as any of the commercially-painted figures.

And bonus scratchbuilder's points for rescuing the plant stand from the trash ;)

Prost!
Brad

Cool! I didn't think of putting the Conte surgeon with the TSSD wounded. Great collection!

The surgeons needed some business on a photodio I did so they got painted up for that. In another picture I did the exact oposite and used the patient as a wounded artillerymen along with the TSSDs.

Wonderful photos Captain........that chap on the "table" certainly has a lot of blood loss though. I wonder how these would fit in with the matte Britains AZW series?

The pool under the table was supposed to reflect a "busy day". That was an experiment. I poured some paint onto a cellaphane(sp) cigarette pack wrapper and let it dry then cut it out and at first it layed down very nice and looked good. later it decided to stick up and I didnt notice it until after the pictures were made and the "set" taken down. I just didnt want a permanent stain on the floor of the house so I tried to make a "blood mat". I think it will work fine with a little more experimenting. As far as fitting in with Britains, I really couldn't say. I'm not that familiar with them.

I think it is a great idea. What about taking some aluminum foil and painting that? it would be thin enough for blood but the weight would probably help to prevent it curling.

That might work great, I'll give it a try. Today is mowing day however, we finally got a break in the rain and I got alot of mowing to do.

Well done Captain! The door on the barrels is a nice touch. The lock chain added to the IMEX cannon is pretty good as well.

Thanks Scott. You cant tell it in that pic but I also added the D-rings, trail spike hooks and was planning to do the elevating screw, sponge bucket, implement hooks and, prolong but never got around to it. The brake chain was alot harder than I thought it was going to be. It's still on the to-do list however.

Those look great! Those Contes sure paint up good don't they

Thanks redsoldiercollector. Yes I think they paint up very well. Of course I'm still learning and have a long way to go. Georgia huh? We're almost neighbors. It's always good to here from another Southern boy.
