Corporal Archie MacDonald of the King's Own Scottish Borderers bids a fond farewell to his sweetheart Sarah Ferguson, a servant at the Red Lion Inn where they first met a year ago. Archie is part of the British Expeditionary Force being sent to defend Belgium from the invading Hun who have occupied the country since August of 1914.
