I think if you do it right, the legs work as natural vents for all the metal in the body of the beast...

Aha! Super job! Amazed you managed it in a single casting. Now...how does that casting hold up for scale?! One thing I have struggled with is that there are no horse castings large enough to properly accomodate most Naps figures, which is why I often convert horses from other "off the shelf" sets.

Why is it every time that you make something new, I see my wallet getting lighter. Seriously, for a newbie, this guy is doing great work. I have bought just about everything in his Sudan line and they are superb, equal in quality to most anything from the established glossy mfg. out there..Michael
 
I added milliput to the original, and recast, now with saddle and reins.
