This week on a family day out to London, I managed to con my way to the Tradition of London shop to have a look at the K&C ranges that they sell there. Now I have collected K&C for a few years now, Napoleonics and (with my wife) Streets of Old Hong Kong so the obvious choice would have been Scots Greys or something similar.
When I saw the new Crusaders on show I was begining to sway towards a new period to collect...What happened? I came out with the Daimler Dingo scout car!
This was the first time that I had actually looked at K&C vehicles up close and I was amazed at the detail (and the weight, didn't realise that polystone was so heavy) on the Dingo. The price was about the same as a mounted Crusader figure, therefore I am well pleased with my first K&C vehicle and I am sure it won't be the last.

Glad you liked the dingo, one of my favourites.

Steve at Tradition is a great guy and takes a lot of K&C.

If your feeling lucky you should push your luck and see if you can talk your way to our show in London.

The Toy Soldier Show on the 2nd December at the Royal National Russell Square.

Congrats on your "cave in".

When K&C first began making those vehicles back in the late '90's it just totally blew people away.

One would have to buy a super expensive wood and metal, custom job or have to build it himself.

Even though the vehicles were crude at first, it helped open up new possibilities to the collector who could not afford several hundred for a vehicle let alone build one.

So, again, congrats

Thanks for your comments.
Gideon,
I knew this would happen, I've already made up my mind that the Staghound and White Scout Car will make great companions for the Dingo! A small (?)collection of K&C wheeled vehicles will soon be gracing my cabinet.

Tony,
I've been to a few of the London shows in the past and I hope that I can get to the 2nd December one. I know Mike & Sue and look forward to meeting you in person.

Regards
Jeff

Ironically, I was attracted to King and Country for the detail of the actual soldiers-but have bought the Summer Panther and Meyer's Halftrack and am blown away by the detail. I really want to add a Hummel-though it's from the winter collection.
Must slow down....must slow down.
