I'll be attending my first Soldier Show this weekend in Atlanta. I'm very excited, probably more than a grown man should be!:p My better half is even attending with me and has promised to BUY ME SOMETHING!. I have no idea what she wants in return but I'm sure I'll find out sooner rather than later.

That's great! It's fun to find something at a show, but it's even more fun to meet and mingle other members of our hobby in person. Internet is one thing, but it doesn't beat getting together in person. Have a good time, and please take a lot of pictures!

Prost!

Oh, and if he's there, please tell Ken Cliffe/All the King's Men that I said hello. And if you have an interest in painting figures, I recommend his figures highly. He makes 54mm figures for wargaming, and they paint up very nicely. Ken and his wife are really nice to meet and talk to.

I will be sure to approach him if he is there. I've browsed his store page several times and each time I get closer and closer to purchasing a figure to try my hand at painting.

Tim Tyler from Troops of Time of Jacksonville, Fl. will definitely be there. One of the finest Southern gentleman one would wish to meet. He's been my go to retailer since I began in '08. Do stop by his booth and tell him Joe Roy says hello. And you and your wife have a grand time.

My wife and I visited him in Jax last year, he was very nice and very knowledgeable. I had to be drug out of his store! I was impressed with him because he took the time out of his Saturday afternoon to meet me and open his shop (which wasn't really open yet due to him being in the middle of moving) and chat with me. Definitely something I'll never forget.
