Hi Guys

My first Mamluks have arrived; I wanted to see whether the additional detailing was worth the extra money and I have to say I was not disappointed. These are the first three and I shall look forward to picking up several more in London later in the month.

First up is the flag bearer – great action pose, superb detailing on the flag, though I think the flag could have done with being somewhat larger.

Then the first of my sword wielding Mamluks – this is my favourite figure. The detailing is amazing, especially on the shield.

Then the second sword wielding Mamluk.

Gazza,
Great looking figures. Especially like the two sword wielding Mamluks. They look very similar in pose, from the photos, would that be correct? Just trying to get an idea as to whether to get these two (as they look cool) or whether to get one of them and a different one instead.
Cheers

I actually think the Mamluks are better than the Crusaders for detailing, especially the shields.

The two sword weilding Mamluks look to be the same pose but have completely different shields, helmets, dress etc and so look very different alongside each other. Pictures below to illustrate my point.

Gazza, your pics do a nice job of showing off the detail in these figures. Enjoy your purchase!

yeah, the two with swords are doing the same thing, but both look good! but ya know, how many different ways can you really swing a sword lol.

Thanks Gazza, appreciate the side by side. Really like these two and the shield work is mindblowing.

Couple more shots. The one of the Mamluk from behind really shows of the detail - from the detailing on the footwear to the armour

Then the two Mamluks together - same pose but I think they are so different they look great. I think these shots are clearer.
