My first WOR casualty - a re-animation of one of the LANC-27 Lancastrian Billmen set. (please see original figure alongside in pics for comparison.)

Well, with all those archers......................... one of them must have hit home..........^&grin

That's gotta hurt Roy. Good job, certainly need some wounded figures in these big battles. Robin.

Excellent !

Obviously he should have remained 'crouched', maybe the arrow had missed him.

Seeing Bosworth must have instilled some action in you.

My first thought on seeing the Thread Title was...oh no...a dropped figure.

Thank you for posting Roy.

John needs to make some casualties from both arrows and hand weapons.

That's one big arrow sure it's not an Orc that's fired it

The guide at Bosworth who took our walk had a re-enactors arrow for us to examine. Everyone was surprised at just how big they were.
Lethal Weapon indeed {eek3}

Always thought the arrows were a bit too big, but seeing the real thing shows John correct as usual. Robin.

It's the thickness of the arrow I was making a point about, the length seems to be in scale

Part of a passage by Italian cleric Dominic Mancini who visited England 1482-3:

“Their bows and arrows are thicker and longer than those used by other nations”
(Taken from “Bosworth - The Birth of the Tudors by Chris Skidmore.)

Sketch by Historical illustrator/ Fine artist Matthew Ryan.

- and after seeing a re-enactment arrow close up, I am more than happy to accept Johns scaling of his arrows. :)
