I've sculpted a whole bunch of combinations with the French coat and the British Coat but have only made copies of this one torso/leg combo- to be honest I'm not entirely happy with my resin results. They need a good bit of clean up so that although a hobbyist wouldnt mind spending 5 minutes cleaning up a figure a consumer might- I'll have to rethink my drop cast mould idea lol...

Though I only have the one body set done up I've been doing a whole bunch of head swaps onto AIP bodies- the good heads will go on BMC Mexicans to make Spanish Naps...

Although the BMC Mexicans make many different uniforms good for 1812 gaming...

Very nice. Are you making resin molds then? I havent given that a try , yet. Don't know the 1st thing and at present I dont have the room in my shop.

I like your BMC guys too.
I painted a bunch as French Lights and about 30 of them as Naussers. Had to paint on much of the uniform detail but they look fine.

I dremeled off the detail on some Russians today and am TRYing to resulpt the uniforms and details for a Frenchman.

Sketching out a Bunch of Frogs I want to do. Thats a lot easier than sculpting them but I'll bash my head for a while till I get something decent.

Fub

yeah- I wanted to make molds to allow people to do their own but I'm not certain people will want to fiddle as much as I do with them lol

Finally got a British torso cast up:

That is the 3 different leg combos. I'm gonna do some more diarama shots when I get more figs done.

You can see that even though my paintjobs are terrible the figures (mostly) cast well:

More pics of proto-type resins. The Grenadier Sergeants halberd is just a proxy till I get a metal one as in resin it is to fragile lol. I only proto-typed 2 of 4 British Torsos and 1 of 4 French but I'm glad I did as it allowed me to make some changes before doing the set.

Some more of my 54mm Fremch- but with new poses and metal castings finally. The officer is a Prince August Prussian officer with one of my heads replacing the Prussian one.

Nice pics Jay, I like the painted back ground affect, I will have to give that a try. Then again I need back ground foreground trees, barrles, etc. Good Stuff, Mike.:)

Thanks! The really nice paintjob in the front left was the one I had a pro paint for me- he is amazing and the skin tones are very 'true' I find. PM me if you would like his contact info as he is amazing.

The rest of the redcoats are all my normal stock paintjobs lol- and the background is just a quickly painted canvas to give the minis some context lol. I also use some black ink pens as a mix media. In this pic I also layered the depth such that layers further back are muted to help give the illusion of distance. I've been practicing a lot of painting to see what I like and what I dont cause I hope to paint some larger 'battle' pics later this year.
