Here they are ! I was recently given a set of unfinished Imperial Zulus. Most unusual. I have finished them and have placed them with the same factory Imperial set . Can you tell which ones they are?

Now I know why you've been so quite lately very nicely done K. V. also notice some familiar goodies that are currently facing the magic paint brush. By the way Michael all of my photos are taken without a tripod using the MARCO setting. It's a matter of taking a number of photos selecting the ones your happy with and croping them if needed......The Lt.

Hi Vamp,

To be honest, no, I cannot tell which ones you painted! They all look really great! Obviously, you are a remarkable figure painter.

Now, I have a question for you that may prove to be a real test of your talent. Can you tell which ones you painted? :D

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

Pictures of the Zulus you sent. Have I posted them yet? I have the 24th figures ready to upload.

KV.

You have done a really nice job on these, the figures themselves are top notch castings and combined with your painting really shine :). I think that the shade of green the bases are finished in really make them stand out.

Seems your still working on the Zulus I spotted. Looking forward to the 24th when ready as well as the Zulus when done....The Lt.

Yeah a couple of Zulus were broken on the way out. I have yet to put them back together. Where did you find them any ways? I thought you were refering to the cavalry figures.

That green color is starting to grow on me. It was not a perfect match to the Imperial but close.

Are the imperial's sold as castings? You did a very nice job, matching the original figures...My colonial period collection is mostly of the old time Britains look, with a Steadfast and Wessex thrown in.....can these type figures be picked up ,as castings for you, VAMPMAN ,to paint, on a commission? Michael

Thank you all for the compliments. I have always held that Imperial is the benchmark for toy soldier painting. I am close but they are the champs. Their painting and fine lines are without equal.

Michael the castings I got were handed down to me from a gentleman who will remain anonymous unless he wishes to identify himself. They were partially painted as the pictures show. I have always wanted to test myself and had the oppourtunity to try. I do not believe that castings are available. The set to the best of my knowledge was a fluke. BTW They came in an original box too.

That being said, if you find them I will paint them. You can always get castings from Steadfast.
