I got the Bond 50 Blue Ray box set for Xmas ^&grin...{23 films} So been watching one just about every night {in order}.
Currently half way through the Brosnan era!.....its been a real hoot as most of the films I had seen in the past but has just been so long
in some cases 20+ years!...so many great scenes that I forgot about..like the white Lotus diving into the ocean then turning into a Sub,
also the under water spear gun battle with about 50 guys!....I also enjoyed the scene when Timothy Dalton killed the bad guy on his Waterloo Diorama {sm4}.

The Thinderball underwater spear gun battle fight was very well done. I think one of the low points in the series was one of the Brosnan movies when he gets into the invisible car.

Not sure we should be enjoying people getting killed over their Waterloo dioramas, especially this year^&grin

I seem to watch a James Bond film on a regular basis, but it always ends up being either Connery or Craig. In the last couple of weeks I've watched Connery's From Russia with Love and Goldfinger (my 2 favorite Bond films), along with Craig's Cassino Royale and Skyfall. Not a fan of the Roger Moore films in the series but I will watch Brosnan. It is an iconic series that has been around forever and hopefully stays around for a little longer. -- Al

Good point that car may have taken things a little far....But then Moonraker was like Star Wars in some parts...with Astronauts flying around in space shooting laser guns.....Much like the Thunderball under water battle!
But that poor diorama {eek3}

Some of them were more like watching sci fi movies and stopped watching them in the cinema until Craig turned up and saved the series. Give me a good bad guy and plot but less of the space antics. Actually we must be due a good spy type movie like Tinker Tailor.

I think Bond can be a generational thing....I grew up watching the Roger Moore films in the 70s/80s so Roger was Bond to me.
But then I always did love Connery's Goldfinger....I think they just nailed it with that film, the opening singing voice of shirly bassy belting out the theme song...and Oddjob must be one of the most memorable henchmen in movie history!

Agreed, they really nailed it with Goldfinger and I think the song is by far the best of any in the series. Also agree about the generational thing as I think those of a certain age group will only admit to Sean Connery being the 'real' Bond. I felt that way until Craig's edgier Bond showed up. Still like Connery but have made room for Craig. -- Al

I really liked the newer films Casino Royale and Skyfall, although I also really like the old Sean Connery films. Enjoy the rest of your movies!
Cheers,
Brendan

Halle Berry, Rosamund Pike and Jane Seymour ... they are my favourite actors from the Bond franchise!

All you guys are cracked. It was 'M', played by Judi Dench, that was the true hotty. :wink2: -- Al

I have been for years mate, quickly followed by the clearing of browsing history. :wink2:

In the middle of a busy day this gave me a laugh! Less amusing is that I typed 'them names' in my post!

Thanks:salute::
