Hi all; Season's Greetings.

Just a little shot of my American D-Day collection (nothing fancy). Slowly building my US forces while I enjoy each piece. I've got my thoughts (and pocket book) ready for Fury. Had to pick up Sgt. Don "Wardaddy" Collier in preparation. He seems slightly out of place but he's a very nice figure; a bit more polished then the dry paint used on some of the newer figures (i.e. Dye and Saunders).

Some suggestions for K&C additions:
  • I think we need a D-Day (non-snow version) of the new 57mm (BBA083).
  • While I like the US Armoured Jeep (DD161) and trailer (DD162), I'd like to see a standard Willy Jeep. Would make a nice addition to any US dio.
  • A new M-3 Halftrack would also be a nice piece to expand one's US collection.

...Over time there've been LOTS of jeeps (LRDG, Market Garden range has seen four, D-Day quite a few as well, from my personal favorite ambulance Jeep to the Air Force "Follow Me", to Armored and MP variants). I know Andy has plans for more as he's personally fond of them, though I'd speculate a D-Day basic may not be in the mix soon. Personally, I wish the armored one would have had a .50 cal Machinegun, and I'm hoping he does a "captured" variant crewed by FJ's or Waffen SS troops. Likewise, I'd like to see a captured schwimmwagen crewed by GI's.

I also like the idea of resurrecting the M3 Halftrack. I have the recent M3, the Mortar carrier, and the M16 multiple machinegun carrier (the M16 being my favorite).

Equally nice ideas.

I think it's nice that put in so much thought and careful consideration for your purchases, I should learn to do so as well. Robin.

An M2 Half-track with a skate rail will be a good addition. This is the early version, which has a shorter body/wheelbase and with no rear access, (before the development of the M3 half-track)was used as a personnel carrier and later relegated to the 57mm AT teams towards the end of the war (as the new and improved m3 variants were introduced in the war).
