My latest K&C vehicle, a real classic, a US Army WC63 1.5 Ton Truck (BBA038). I've been looking at this retired vehicle for some time contemplating whether or not to buy. Most of my US collection is from the D-Day theme and this particular model is part of the Battle of the Bulge (BoB) collection. Discovering that it is not "winterized" like other vehicles from the BoB theme, I finally snagged one. The vehicle is a real classic and I think it can be used for different campaigns/scenes - even Red Ball Express.

The vehicle has a removable top for the rear that fits nicely over the side rails. The windshield is set into place (in the upward position). Driver wears gloves and a red scarf but doesn't look "too wintry".

A nice hitch also provides opportunities to haul other K&C collectibles. Hmmm... what might I pull with this sporty new truck? (coming soon)

In any case, my first non-armored US vehicle, the Dodge WC63:

Love my new Dodge!

You can always use artistic license if you are not sure how it fits in, but it looks fine to use in all your WW2 dio's imo. Nice pickup, bet you are happy you pulled the trigger. Robin.

Nice pic Rob and you made a good choice as this is a great looking vehicle and very well made by K&C. Here's some pic's of mine (I actually got two as I liked it that much!) from a dio that I did several years ago.

Thanks Robin; very much so. Definitely a nice piece!

Excellent Tom; thanks for sharing. Love your winter shots. I tried one myself earlier but I don't have any winter Americans at this time.

...A really nice piece, for sure. Very versatile, and when you consider the hard topped and soft topped ambulances and the old D-Day two axled Dodge with the water trailer, there are some great scenes to be created.

It''s an excellent model. The Dodge was by far the best truck in the Red Ball Express because they didn't break down compared to the Ford and GM trucks. The Bumper code on the K&C model is 87-336F which is the 336 Field Artillery Battalion of the 87th Infantry Division which was in Patton's 3rd Army. The 336FA Battalion was equipped with 105mm howitzers (BBA031). The unit took part in the Red Ball Express and did fight in the Battle of the Bulge and later inside Germany and parts of Central Europe. It's a versatile model.

Hi Terry - thanks for the additional information. Had no idea that the vehicle had an authentic bumper code - cool!
