Late last month my Internet Service Provider informed me that my ‘Complimentary Web Space’ that houses my website has reached it’s ‘End of Life’ and they will no longer provide that service from 11 July!!!

The old
'Toy Soldier Online Gallery' has been going now for just over 25 years … where has all that time gone, well I know, painting toy soldiers, as well as live in general!!!

I’d always wanted my own domain, so I spent a week or so researching what is available with other providers here in Perth, and found a suitable one, so over the past weeks I have registered the domain, then edited my webpages to reflect the new addresses and finally uploaded all my pages and images there…..phew a BIG job. I have even done my June update for what I’ve painted over the past couple of months.

The new URL is www.toysoldiergallery.au to reflect the content of the site and that it is from Australia.

I still regular revise the front page to show what I’ve been painting over the past two months but the website has remained virtually the same over those year, mainly because I can still do my own editing but I don’t have time or inclination to learn a new system and then migrate all my images to a new setup.

If you have my site bookmarked, please change the address because it may take some time for Google to find me again.

Thanks,
John

Thanks John for the years sharing your hobby. Have noted the link, thank you.

Cheers,
Grey

John,

I like the new site, particularly the cover photo of your diorama with Napoleon and his staff.

I have planned on changing that cover image each time I revise the site with a different diorama showing off my figures.
It could be anything from the early 1700's up until 1914, so keep a lookout for that.

Thanks,
John

That's actually a pretty cool domain name. Loved the pictures too! You still planning on posting more action photos with the soldiers?

Yes, I will post more images of my troops posed on some diorama base I have, those images will be on the front page, but I may add more as I go along .....

I have about 5000 figures, so lots to choose from and about 80% of them I have painted myself over the past 25 years !!!
