In a box gathering dust, like me ?????

Time to quit them ??

In a bag gathering dust. Yes, I quitted them long time ago. Maybe, I will repaint the 3 japanese and the 2 cow boys as they are a bigger scale :p

Bet seeing those again brought flooding back lots of memories of your childhood Poppo ! :salute::

I'd like to see more painted plastics for sale.

I think Poppo could make some of those classic plastics he has more fun with at least some paint...
Just an opinion from a guy who always wishes my Marx, etc. guys had some colour...

Hi Paddy,

I find some potential in those 3 japanese toysoldiers,{sm3} and they inspire me about making a little diorama about Iwo Jima!

Japanese Plastics go well with 1/30th scale Americans (like K&C's). 21st Century Toys made a great set (which I am too busy to photo for a few days - you can sort of see them in our Iwo Jima display shelf in our album). The average Japanese soldier was much smaller than an American Marine. Grandpa was 6'4" (whatever that is in decimals^&confuse). He said he was only a little taller than the average Marine he fought with.

BTW I'm 5'8" so people are always different sizes; of course there are some tall Japanese people!
I just think that Plastic Japanese are very cool.

The patina of the leather, as well as the helmet, should be different from the matte & shaded clothing. Just an opinion.

I like your cowboy idea too. See Swoppets & Britains Herald for some good paint jobs of which we have some fun examples.

Pics on request & all the Best as Always!

Sorry for the blah blah. Anyway, I'm sure you could make them look great.
Same with the cowboys.
And why not paint the plastics if you have the skill?
They look great when carefully painted. We knew a guy who painted Conte plastics (through eBay) and he could make some arttistic figures given a bit of time...
Best Wishes as Always,
Paddy for Pat Sr & me
