Hi all!
I recently had a short holiday in the Netherlands and Germany (and a quick trip to visit Jakob in Denmark!) and during my trip I visited the German Tank Museum (Deutsches Panzermuseum) which is located in the small town of Munster Ortze about 76 kms from Hamburg.
It was awesome to say the least and it has one of the best collections of German armour and other vehicles in the world with only the Bovington tank museum in the UK and the tank museum in Russia (forgotten the name) having more extensive collections. The museum in Saumur France is the only other museum I have been to that has an equivalent number of German AFV's to the Deutsches Panzermuseum.
The museum also has a small number of Allied AFV's as well as an extensive collection of post world war 2 and modern armour/vehicles. To say that I was like a kid in a lolly shop would be a big understatement! {sm3}
Anyway, here's a bunch of pic's and I'm in a number of them so you get a sense of how big these monsters are! I'm around 174cm by the way!
