My wife's Facebook! (1 Viewer)

I don't have Facebook but I want to turn off the feature on my wife's Face Book that sends an E-mail to OUR address every time someone comments on HER page. She gets 10-15 messages a day that just tells her someone commented! As she spend every day on her Face Book she doesn't need the feature. Any help?

Did you go to the privacy settings.

Also, a few months ago there was a great article in the NY Times about changing your privacy settings. At the time Facebook had changed them and you had to confirm them. Most people probably did but it allowed others to view your personal information, probably more than you intended.

Here is the article and I encourage every user to read this. After I read this I changed my settings and those of my son.

It's not a privacy issue, just turning off the automatic Email notification every time her friends comment. Good article by the way Thanks.

For Facebook you have to have a registered email to send you the notifications. To answer the question of geting the notifications to stop, you have to switch to another email account in order to send the notifications elsewhere. I'd suggest making a yahoo account for the notifications.

With respect you don't have to any such thing.

Go to account --> then account settings --> then notifications --> then remove all of the check marks and that will stop the email (s)

hm it is sound to me that you are more angry at the comments of your wife getting from her friends than from the email notification

but if that is such a problem,why you do not delete the notifications it will take you 3 secunds to do that or you advise your wife that she make a new gmail or hotmail account it is free and she will have her own email adress so you will not be bother with this no more

Try: Click on Account -> Account Setting -> Notifications -> unclick notifications you don't want emailed to you
