I was thinking of a scene in a movie I saw about a year ago, but can't remember which movie it was. The scene shows Montgomery at his headquarters being told by someone (maybe Bedell Smith) that he is very close to being releaved of duty due to his constant insisting that everything be done his way. Anyone know what the movie was?

I don't know, but its a fair bet that its American made!:p:D If Tom Selleck is in it it might be "Ike".

I thought the movie was Patton but it was Patton who was getting told by Bedell Smith.

I was thinking it might be 'Ike: countdown to D-Day' but it seemed like the scene took place during the Normandy campaign, not during the planning.

I wasn't thinking of Patton, despite the similar situations. That just reminded me of how much I hated the portrayal of Patton in the movie 'Ike'. I cringed at that horrible caricature they presented.
