We are extremely pleased to start the pre-order of our latest figure for our Mounted Personalities sub-range of Napoleon's Europe. This time we're visiting the field at Borodino with NAP0175 Orlov-Denisov. Orlov-Denisov had an extremely distinguished career as a cavalry officer where he served in every major campaign of the Napoleonic Wars in which Russia was involved. In 1812 at Borodino, he was in command of the 2nd Brigade of the I Cavalry Corps comprised of the Leib-Guard Cossacks and Leib-Guard Hussars. He also distinguished himself at Leipzig in 1813. This is a Special Collector's Set of only 150 being produced (wink wink) and will be shipping to customers worldwide in February.

NAP0175 Orlov-Denisov - $159.95

PS - The "wink wink" is obviously a joke and merely a shout out to my friend Panda. :D

Another top notch job! Does this mean that there are Life Guard Cossacks around the corner for this general to lead?

Great paint job on his pants. The clever use of highlighting and shading makes every fold come alive.

Indeed a beautiful addition to the series. I hope you get those Cossacks mate but when we start talking Life Guard (or Heavy Dragoons), remember my general was out first.;):D:D

By all means! I defer to the British Heavies! Just trying to stimulate conversation, I would prefer the British Cavalry and Highlanders appear first. I'm just always fishing, can't help myself!:D
Not that things have to be even but, there have been Russian Hussars, a Carabinier, and British Light Dragoons. In the rotation in my mind, it's time for cavalry from one of the German states. ;)

Lovely work Matt. I really like how the horse is prancing (so to speak). Very well done.

He is very expressive and captured in a lovely moment of his rather large canter stride. I would like to see the horses back a bit rounder but in the heat of battle that is hard to come by, even for a general's horse.;):D
