First Legion is pleased to present the Great British 95th Rifles!!! This regiment is one of the most unique and well known regiments of the Great British Army of the Napoleonic Wars. Wearing their green jackets with black leather trim meant to camouflage them, they were armed with the Baker Rifle, not the typical Brown Bess, which extended their accuracy to nearly 200 yards. The soldiers in the Rifles were selected from the best of the best and were some of the finest skirmishers of any unit of any nationality during the Napoleonic Wars, possessing a daring, boldness, and individual initiative not commonly found during this period of war. We have presented them here such that they can serve equally well deployed in skirmish formation or even shoulder to shoulder in a close order line of battle. With the superb sculpting and hand painting our figures are renown for, surely this is the most realistic and indepth coverage ever given this truly iconic regiment. We hope that you enjoy them!

Matt-
What a great portrayal of the Rifles! The mix of uniform to represent campaign dress is a really nice addition. This release should certainly please those who have been waiting for thier 'little green men'.^&grin

Excellent news that's 4Napoleonic regiments this year so far keep up the good work Matt. I will have some tough choices what to order next month I will probably go for a few of these 95 th and a few of Bufords boys aswell, have to leave the Austrians for now but with the new Archduke Ferdinand mounted figure in the pipeline I ll have to get them sometime.

I will eventually get around to buying 1-2 of each, in addition to the foot artillery and two nap buildings. I don't really do FL, but all of these are great sets and go perfectly with my existing scenes.

Got my preorder in for my first two Green Jackets. Ordered the Lieutentant (Sharpe) and a chosen man. Figure the Lieutenant might be an early sell out! Now if we can get a big Irish Serjeant (as they spell it in The Rifles) with a Nock Volley Gun.

Plan to visit the Green Jackets Museum in Winchester next month.

Do you have any address or a web site for that Museum ? I would be interested in a possible visit there myself .

The Royal Greenjackets Museum is in peninsula Barracks in Winchester, a few blocks from Winchester Cathedral. Also located in the Barracks are the Museums of the Ghurkas, The Royal Hampshire Regiment and the Kings Royal Hussars.

While the Green Jackets have been jointed with the Light Infantry to form The Rifles, it doesn't appear that there are plans to move or combine the museums any time soon.

Also, about a half hour away in Portsmouth, is the Royal Marines Museum.

I still think that the running Chosen Man, with his rifle in his left hand, looks like Rifleman Hagman (John Tams).

So fall in lads behind the drum, the colours blazing like the sun, along the road to come what may, Over the Hills and Far Away....
