We are also pleased to commence the pre-order of the latest figure in our "Mounted Personalities" sub-range to Napoleon's Europe, NAP0350 Field Marshal Archduke Charles! Archduke Charles was perhaps the finest Austrian field commander of the Napoleonic Wars. His military career began during the French Revolutionary Wars where he showed he was an extremely capable commander and one of the only field officers capable of defeating the French. After the disaster of 1805 at Austerlitz, Archduke Charles was named Commander in Chief of the Austrian armed forces and he began a massive overall of the Austrian Military, doing away with the old linear concepts and adopting a much more French/flexible style of organization and tactics. He lead the Austrian Army at Aspern-Essling and handed Napoleon his first true defeat in a major battle. He was later defeated at Wagram and soon after retired from active military service. We have depicted him here during the second day of Aspern Essling when he personally took up a standard to rally his flagging troops and drive back the French thrust threatening to break his center. This wondefully sculpted and painted figure will make an excellent addition to any serious Napoleonic toy soldier collection.

NAP0350 Field Marshal Archduke Charles - $174.95
Special Collectors Set of 200
Ships End March 2012

Even this AWI fan can certainly appreciate this amazing figure. The dynamic pose, the superb paintwork, and the flag detail all add up to one outstanding release. Way to go Matt!

I'm not familiar enough with the Prussian Army to know what other personalities would go into a command set. But, for your sake Gebhard, I hope Bluecher is one of the mounted personality figures and Gneisenau is part of an accompanying Prussian Staff set. How would that work for you?^&grin

This is another FL NAPS Mounted Personality Figure..... That FL needs to re-produce {sm4}{sm4}{sm4}...Providing this figure again would most certainly boost sales of FL NAP Austrians.
