It looks a bit different for sure. While I was there I noticed this one that looks pretty interesting. I think this is the Napoleon mini series from 2002 that was not too bad as I recall.

From the reviews I read in French it sounds like one. To be clear I haven't seen that one yet. My previous answer was for Napoléon (2002) with Christian Clavier.

Thanks I got that as well but I thought you might have seen the Napoleon an Me trailer and got what I got. (You seem more European)
I don't speak Italian
Only French and some Russian I watched the trailer, read the reviews on the French Web site on this one and it's classified under comedy, romantic and there is the pretty Monica Bellucci in it I just added it to my NetFlix list! Thansk for the tip!

I saw the first fifteen minutes of this film, the copy of the DVD I watched didn't have English subtitles and I couldn't follow what was going on. I can tell you that it takes place on the island of Elba in 1814, Napoleon has just been sent into exile and he hires a schoolteacher to become his secretary. Monica Bellucci plays an aristocrat that the schoolteacher falls for. Probably because she looks like Monica Bellucci.. It had very good production values, so I'm looking forward to seeing this movie in a language that I can understand.
