The " Napoleon in Egypt" serie is nice and original; KC made it about the " scientific" part of the campaign untill now and I guess this part is almost finished( if I am not wrong).
I wonder if there will be napolonic fighters against mameluks in future...And I wanted to ask those of you who make this collection if you wish this " military" part or not.:cool:

"Poppo":

I now have about #13 of the "NE" Napoleon in Egypt figure sets as well as the two monuments plus a camel and a monument from other K&C series, namely "LoJ" & "AE". I recently added 3 of the 4 new "NE" sets that K&C came out with a couple of months ago or so. I now have this interesting series on a display table right next to my K&C "Age of Napoleon" diorama of marching infantrymen, Napoleon's HQ tent, etc. I do not plan on getting any combat figures to add to the Napoleon in Egypt series even if K&C should come out with some such sets.

Thank you for your reply IB :)

I think its been already stated in previous threads that K&C is planning on producing fighting poses for this campaign.

Andy has been questioned on this subject and his respose can be found somewhere in the Forum, maybe it was questions at a dinner, or direct, but the plan, as far as I understand, is firstly to make this current batch showing the intial 'invasion' and exploration of Egypt.

The battle scenes would then include Marmalukes and Ottomans and fighting posed French, such as were present at the Battle of the Pyramids.

Nothing further has been suggested, but I'd also like to see the change of French Infantry uniform to the multi colours of the locally made coats for the individualy Demi-Brigades and also have some British who opposed them during the expasion of the expedition along the coast of the Holy Land.

British infantry in stovepipe shakos whould also go really well in the Penninsular War, and so increase thier usage for later campaigns.

I'm sure that this is an ever increasing range, and at this stage K&C are the only ones making matte figures for this era, so BRING THEM ON!!!

Yes, marching and action figures would be sensational for this series. Mounted Mamelukes attacking the French Square would make a great diorama along with the LOJ and AE buildings and monuments.
