Two more releases seldom shown. Two Army staffs, first, Napoleon and the French Staff.

Next, Kutuzov and the Russian Imperial Staff.

Both Staffs are in front of TER001, a thatched Russian house. This is an amazing diorama piece by FL. Very few are left.

The Napoleon Staff release is no longer available but I believe the Russian one is.

Sorry for the quality of the photos; they came out a little dark.

Great to see some of these old sets getting some love & attention. I haven't seen much about them since 2009 when they were released. Certainly wonderful sets, its sad to see the Russian set still getting passed on by collectors and at under $50.00 per figure they are a TRUE BARGAIN IMO.

I love both of these sets but the slow sales are I would guess the reason why these wonderful large Staff sets are a thing of the bygone past. I always hoped to see more of these released but I fear it will never happen.

Thanks Brad for posting these shots it reminds me of some of the reasons I started with FL, even at almost 10 years old they still shine as to what can and has been done for Napoleonic collectors in this Hobby.

Just imagine Command sets like these across all lines & periods, the possibilities are mouth watering.

It's not that the staff sets are a thing of the past, rather it's that we tend to release individual figures rather than these large sets as the full sets are quite expensive to purchase in a single go. Further, these sets pre-dated our Mounted Personalities for Napoleon's Europe, which to us are more interesting figures than the foot sets. So in concept, they are very much alive and well!

Not to split hairs, but these wonderful large Staff sets as I referenced them are a thing of the past then, which was the point I was trying make :wink2: ^&grin.

Sadly we will never see their like again, for the reasons you mention. I really do like the mounted personalities figures which when grouped together can make something bigger and they are certainly very interesting and much more versatile but these two large staff sets were really something special IMO.
