Just in case there is anyone who has not yet seen the upcoming Napoleonic Prussian foot Artillery release here is the image highlighted in the latest newsletter.

I haven't been this excited since August 2009 when they released the Line Infantry figures, its been a long wait but it is what it is. Also really excited to hear that " the artillery is just the start" really got my mind turning as to what they will portray next. ^&grin

The pre-view image on the new banner image also looks very promising as well. Looks to be the 1st Regiment of Horse Chasseurs of the Imperial Guard and that looks really nice.. Good Times :salute:: regards Gebhard

I wonder if a full crew will be issued for the gun, because only 3 gunners is a bit short of troops to service this gun.

The usual manning was 6 gunners, commanded by an NCO, with the officer overseeing the section of guns.

Lets hope they will all be coming out so these gunners can turn back the advance of Napoleon in June 1815 .......

And YES ... that does look like a Chasseur of Guard on the banner.... but what about the officer on his left?

Definitely on my order list:salute:::salute:::salute::.....WELL DONE FL....I'm Glad to hear that more NAPS are on the way

They are very nice and although I have almost all the Prussians, sadly, I'm out of room for the space I have allotted to my FL Naps.

Hi John,

I thought that being a uniforms guy of knowledge your interest would be peaked as well. I'm not sure of the color what do you think ? Is it a blue Dolman & Pelisse ? maybe Officer of the mounted guard Arttillery ? I need a better shot?? What are your thoughts from what we can see ? not as easy and clear as the chasseurs a cheval de la garde imperiale. regards Gebhard

Yes, I wasn't sure about the Pelisse, the shot coat worn over the left shoulder, because it looks blue and had red cuffs with gold braid, so you are correct when you suggest its a Horse Artillery of the Guard officer.

FL has already released the gunners and cannon from the Guard Horse Artillery, so he would be a valuable addition to the gun line.

Hi John,

Good to see we are in agreement, hey I guess all those years of what I'm told has been wasted time pouring over uniform books pays off once in a while. I'm always open to other thoughts as well, as the subject is just so vast with so many possibilities, it a big part of the fun for me .

Another member of the HB forum which I'm a member of guessed for the KGL. That is really a good guess and very close, one of the problems would be the color of the collar of the Dolman. For the 1st rgt KGL Hussars it would need to be red. It really adds to the fun when FL change the banner on their site. It gets collectors thinking and talking.

I'm really hoping the new figures will have poses for fighting in close quarters something we really haven't seen yet from FL. It would be really cool to have Hussars shown in sabre on sabre combat.

I love FL's Guard Hose Artillery set, its my favorite artillery set so far but the Russian 20lb Licorne is right there as well. regards Gebhard
